La Bichonnière, old farm full of charm built early XIXth sitting in a park of 2ha, is located at the edge of Les Houches, first hamlet of Puisaye-Forterre in the center of the department of Yonne (89) at 12 kilometers from Auxerre and an hour and a half from Paris.
Family house for more than 50 years, invisible from the road, it has been transformed during this half-century to lead to a harbour of tranquility and peace restored in the respect of the old stones and materials.
Stephan and Julia will welcome you there in all conviviality; you will be able to appreciate the spaces placed at your disposal and will come to slacken alone or with family in the 5 refined rooms (2/3 persons) including 1 double (4/5 persons) with showers or privative bath and WC. The spaces at your disposal are decorated with simplicity, delicacy and elegance and will be able to enchant you, the large living room with its two fire places, the small "salon" for games and reading space, the music corner (piano and other instruments), the summer and winter dining rooms , the Internet room (wifi) , the large terrace, the park and soon the swimming pool (summer 2007). In the enclosure of the estate you will find a shaded carpark and a covered garage.
La Bichonnière is located near many touristic sites such as Vézelay, the abbey of Pontigny, the castles of Guédélon, Saint Fargeau or Ratilly not far from a Park of Adventures, the Colette museum, Saint-Amand en Puisaye famous for its potteries or the park of Boutissaint with its wild animals, the Lake of Bourdon where bathing and other water sports await you after your escapade in cyclo-rail in the surroundings of Toucy, town of Pierre Larousse. You will also be able to go for pretty hikes in forest or an outing with barges on Yonne or the canal of Burgundy… without forgetting the visit of the cellars and villages of St Bris, Irancy or Chablis located at a maximum of 30 kilometers from your home.
